Understanding first
We value clinicians who look beneath symptoms and behavior to understand what a person or family may be responding to and what keeps patterns in place.
For clinicians
Fireweed Mental Health is an Alaska-based telehealth practice building a clinical team around understanding, professional respect, strong relationships, and sustainable care. We value clinicians who bring their own experience and personality while sharing the practice’s underlying clinical principles.
We begin with curiosity rather than predetermined answers. Biology, development, relationships, family systems, environment, culture, experience, and nervous-system responses can all contribute to what is happening in a person’s life.
We value clinicians who look beneath symptoms and behavior to understand what a person or family may be responding to and what keeps patterns in place.
Therapy does not happen in isolation from relationships. We value work that recognizes family systems, connection, regulation, co-regulation, and the wider context of a person’s life.
Fireweed does not require every clinician to use the same modality. Clinicians retain professional judgment while practicing within their license, competence, ethical obligations, payer requirements, and Fireweed policies.
Our clinicians create space for clients to understand their own experiences and relationships. The therapist is not expected to impose a particular answer or become the center of the client’s process.
We believe a healthy practice should create a positive experience for the patient, the practitioner, and the company supporting the work.
People receiving care should be treated with respect, privacy, consistency, and genuine attention to their experience.
Clinicians should have professional space, dependable systems, clear expectations, and a practice structure that respects the work they do.
The organization must remain responsible and sustainable so it can continue supporting clinicians and patients over time. We do not believe those interests have to compete with one another.
Fireweed provides access to the clinical and communication tools used in day-to-day practice. We keep the focus here on the systems clinicians interact with—not the company’s accounting or back-office software.
Electronic health record, documentation, scheduling, secure client portal, forms, and practice billing workflows.
Dedicated telehealth video for remote clinical sessions.
Practice-managed communication so clinicians can communicate through the practice without publishing a personal phone number.
Fireweed email and internal business communication.
Depending on payer enrollment, credentialing, and the applicable billing arrangement, services may be billed through Fireweed’s organization NPI or through a clinician’s individual NPI. The payer’s enrollment and claim requirements determine the appropriate structure.

Patient information is handled as protected health information within systems and workflows designed to comply with applicable HIPAA requirements and federal and state privacy laws. Clinicians are expected to follow Fireweed’s privacy, security, documentation, and records-management policies.
Fireweed does not require clinicians to sign a non-compete agreement. We believe strong professional relationships are created by building a practice clinicians want to be part of, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality, patient-care, records, and transition obligations.
Fireweed is based in Alaska and is being built around telehealth. Clinicians may serve clients in the states where they are appropriately licensed and authorized to practice as the practice expands.
